Máire hails from Ireland, where her masters in marketing provided a solid basis for retail marketing in the States. Máire went from managing circulation for a niche title to managing a team of account executives at a distributor specializing in independent press. When not on the soccer field, Máire currently heads up client services at Next Steps Marketing and still ardently enjoys growing online and print retail sales.

Mike Popalardo

Mike’s enthusiasm for audience marketing is infectious. From delving into the newest online marketing techniques to executing the perfect direct mail campaign, Mike can’t stop thinking about what might make sense for each clients’ unique audience except when he hits the road biking around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Mike has been serving on the Board of Directors of the WFMA since Jan 2003 and is currently serving as Past-President.

Whether it’s working with a client’s team to build strategy from the ground up or creating a program to take advantage of a new opportunity Thea uses her analytical and strategic skills to build effective audience marketing solutions for clients. When not at Next Steps Marketing, she puts these skills to use working with others to create a safe and thriving San Francisco neighborhood.

Thea is the Conference Chair of WIPP’s 2010 Women’s Leadership Conference and is a co-founder and board member of Women in Periodical Publishing, a national organization dedicated to supporting women in and through the power of online and print media.
